Stamina InMotion E1000 Elliptical Trainer

The Stamina 55-1610 InMotion E1000 Elliptical Trainer is a compact elliptical trainer created by Stamina Products, which is fundamentally the foot pedals of a regular sized version.  The product is designed to give you a workout without risk of injury. It can be used by moving the peddles either forward or back and adjusting the tension to various degrees. The trainer also keeps track of your workout (how many strides you make per minute, how many calories you burn and how long you have worked out in total).

This product is certainly not as sturdy as it is advertised to be, which can also cause injuries that it claims to prevent. One will find that it is very difficult to balance on the machine, and that it can be awkward to use as the strides are not smooth and your foot can easily dislodge from its place on the pedal in between each stride. Another problem is the fact that the machine rocks back and forth while you are using it and it is not safe to use unless you hold yourself up by standing next to a wall or under something you can grab on to.

This Stamina Trainer is easy to assemble and store, it is also less expensive than full-size versions of the same, however there are cheaper options out there which will provide the same workout and storage options (with the same pitfalls) for a lower price.

  • Electronic monitor tracks strides, exercise time, and calories

Pros

  • Easy to store
  • Simple assembly
  • Provides an adequate workout when you become accustomed to its rocking and jarring motions.

Cons

  • Despite advertisement, this product can cause injury, because it is not as sturdy as Stamina Products claim it to be.
  • Can be awkward to use as your foot will often dislodge in between strides.
  • This product is more expensive than other products which provide the same workout and easy storage option.

Summary

Because it is easy to store, by being only the bottom half of an elliptical trainer, this product is difficult to balance on and can be hard to use comfortably. This is also not the cheapest option for an economical, easy-to-store set of foot pedals. While it will give you a cardio workout, when you grow accustomed to it, you may want to go for a full-sized elliptical trainer instead. Otherwise, check out the other, less expensive variations of this mini-trainer, as they all have the same benefits and pitfalls.
