Honeywell HHT-011 HEPA Air Purifier
The Honeywell HHT-011 air purifier is a good alternative to other more expensive units. This is a basic unit, that doesn’t include a remote control or an advanced LCD display, but it does have an advertised permanent filtration system, a washable pre-filter and an optional ionizer for a fresher air.
This small air purifier performs best in small rooms; up to 8 x 10 feet. Besides being quiet, the HHT-011 air purifier also features a cleaning indicator light that alerts you when the HEPA filter needs to be cleaned.
Cleaning the HEPA filter is rather simple; you just have to remove it and vacuum it. It’s important to mention that you can’t wash the HEPA filter, only the slim pre-filter.
HEPA filters have been tested to remove up to 99% of airborne particles 2 microns or larger. Like: dust, pollen, smoke and mold spores.

- Not a big con, but in most occasions the filter needs to be cleaned more than the advertised “4″ times per year. How often it has to be cleaned depends on how polluted the air is.
